Job Description

Job Purpose This position has primary responsibility of reviewing and entering invoices into Global Shop Solutions and provide continual interaction with customers regarding their accounts. This position requires strong attention to detail and working daily with a high volume of transactions. The Accounting Clerk will be preparing both data spreadsheets and Word documents and have constant quality improvement toward the accomplishment of the Company’s key goals and objectives listed below. Regular and predicable attendance is required for this position. Essential Functions General Accounts Payable duties Calculating, recording, inputting or processing financial data Track outgoing payments Verify expense reports Reviewing vendor and service provider agreements Pay vendors and service providers Reconcile statements and payment records Process weekly check runs, wire transfers, credit card payments Researching & investigating discrepancies on invoices to determine the accuracy of charges Perform credit memo’s, matching up, coding, tracing AP invoices and processing to post into the accounting system. Handle vendor/customer inquiries regarding billing issues Files documents Demand letters Generate and send out invoices Maintain billing system Assist with accounts receivable ledger Collection calls Cash deposit & applying Invoicing for online customers Lien notices Processing credit card payments Work on special projects as assigned All duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management. Responsible for understanding and executing Company goals and objectives while actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team. Qualifications Education Education and experience commensurate with job responsibilities. Experience Prior Accounting Experience (3-5 years) Global Shop Solutions ERP Software Experience (3-5 years preferred) Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, preferably in a manufacturing environment Skills A strong understanding of accounting principles Strong attention to detail Multi-tasking is a must Clear/effective written and oral communication with vendors/customers, coworkers & management Self-motivated & passionate with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in an office environment. Position requires a high level of organizational & time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Intermediate Excel Intermediate math skills & general office experience Experienced with W9’s and 1099 Misc. processing Must have excellent data entry skills, alpha numeric and 10- key by touch Must be dependable Must be able to accept constructive feedback Must be able to communicate questions, issues and discrepancies to supervisor
