Job Description

We are conducting a search for a Commercial Asset Manager to play a pivotal role in maximizing the financial performance and strategic value of their growing portfolio.

This is a high-impact role where you will not be just managing assets, but actively shaping their commercial trajectory. You will be the central point of contact for a portfolio of operating energy projects, responsible for everything from sophisticated financial analysis to high-stakes stakeholder negotiations. Your primary mandate will be to identify and execute on strategies that enhance profitability and drive value creation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Portfolio Optimization & Financial Performance: Develop and execute comprehensive plans to optimize the financial performance of each asset. This includes leading strategic decision-making around hedging, O&M, and market interaction.
• Commercial Relationship Management: Act as the primary commercial lead, managing and nurturing critical relationships with offtake partners, customers, and other key stakeholders. You will lead negotiations and resolve disputes related to complex Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other contracts.
• Strategic Analysis & Market Intelligence: Dive deep into market and regulatory dynamics across various ISOs/RTOs. You will be responsible for building complex financial models, conducting scenario analysis, and translating raw data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• High-Impact Projects: Lead and contribute to critical, cross-functional initiatives, including M&A due diligence, project development support, asset restructuring, and continuous process improvement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• A minimum of five years of sophisticated experience in a related field such as asset management, finance, or commercial operations, preferably within the energy or renewables industry.
• A strong foundation in accounting, finance, or economics, supported by a bachelor's degree. An MBA or professional designation (CFA, CPA) is highly preferred.
• Exceptional quantitative and qualitative modeling skills, with expert-level proficiency in Excel.
• A deep understanding of wholesale energy markets and complex commercial agreements (PPAs, VPPAs, etc.).
• A proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
