The Delivery & Set-Up Driver is responsible for the efficient, safe, and high-quality pick-up, delivery, and relocation of office equipment. This role may involve basic installation and networking of devices and requires compliance with all federal DOT requirements and Delivery Safety Standards. The driver’s conduct and professionalism directly impact customer satisfaction and future business opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
Safely deliver equipment to designated locations and ensure it is properly secured in the vehicle.
Maintain DOT-compliant logbooks and perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.
Perform equipment pickups during deliveries to minimize costs.
Conduct basic equipment installations (IP setup, print drivers, hard drive handling, customer address book transfers).
Provide basic training on standalone and network printing devices.
Participate in safety programs and pre-call customers when necessary.
Meet productivity and quality expectations based on workload and experience.
Report issues requiring technician assistance and offer customer feedback to service/process teams.
Complete technical training on new equipment.
Maintain professional appearance and driver uniform standards.
Capture electronic customer signatures and process required documentation.
Load/off-load trucks and train new drivers as needed.
Follow incident/accident reporting procedures.
Conduct daily cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and manage inventory valued up to $1 million.
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, stair climber, pallet jack).
Overnight stays may be required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
On-the-job technical training and experience in networking and installation.
Safe driving history and successful road test completion.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required by state.
Valid and current medical card.
Must be at least 20 years old and eligible to drive under FMCSR regulations.
Work Environment
Diverse work environments: office, warehouse, and delivery vehicles.
Frequent lifting of equipment up to 100 lbs and movement of items up to 1,000 lbs.
Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
Work requires independent judgment and interpretation of complex materials.
