Dental Assistant – Norwalk, CA

Requirements to Apply:

  • Bilingual: English / Spanish
  • Certifications: Dental Assistant Certificate, X-Ray, Infection Control, Coronal Polishing and BLS/CPR through AHA
  • Education/Degrees: HS Diploma/GED
  • Years of experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic or in mobile oral health as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments supplies.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45am-5pm with 1 Saturday per month required (If you're booked on a Saturday, you will have 1 weekday off instead)

Pay rate: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Dentist Chairside Assistant
  • Prepares operation procedures for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions.
  • Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law
  • The Dental Assistant maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assists the dental director, and dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records are documents are filed correctly.
  • May be required to perform front office duties such as Scheduling, confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, and managing balance due
