Pay is based on experience and may be open to negotiation. We have a small fleet of our own, we perform maintenance throughout the week as needed(emergency repairs, tire changes, diagnostics, etc.) and on Saturdays (greases and oil changes.) Benefits include Health Insurance, 401K, and Paid Time Off after 1 year of full time employment. Uniforms also available after 90 days.
Responsibilities
*Perform basic diesel maintenance(greasing, oil changes, filter changes, checking tires and fluids, etc.)
*Show up to work in a timely manner
*Be able to efficiently communicate with coworkers to ensure jobs are completed properly
*Assist coworkers as needed
*Perform advanced diesel repair on occasion
*Help drivers with repairs needed after pre-trips
*Performing maintenance on trailers
*Brake work
*Repairing lights/rewiring
*Air Line repair
*Tire repairs (patching and changing tires)
Qualifications
*At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred, 1 year minimum required
*Owning your own tools preferred
*Must be able to work Monday-Saturday 7 am to 5 pm, sometimes later depending on whether daily tasks are done
*Basic knowledge of diesels and how they operate
*Willingness to learn new things
*Wiring knowledge is a plus
