OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting functions while driving strategic financial planning. This role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis , ensuring accurate records and data-driven decision-making. By integrating operational accounting with strategic insights, this position plays a vital role in optimizing financial performance and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
• Act as the primary liaison for external audits, coordinating all audit preparations and responses.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger management.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure accuracy and proper classification.
• Manage cash flow and working capital, optimizing AP/AR processes to enhance efficiency.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial plans and timelines.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts, analyzing key drivers such as sales, costs, and overhead to project performance.
• Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results to budgets/forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the CFO to perform scenario planning, ROI analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations for major business initiatives.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving measures, margin improvements, and revenue-enhancing strategies based on financial insights.
• Prepare and present management reports and dashboards to support executive decision-making.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline accounting and FP&A workflows, including ERP system improvements and automation tools.
• Ensure best practices in financial data management, leveraging available technology for efficiency.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial processes, fostering continuous improvement.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, providing training, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and analytical thinking.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, R&D, and other departments to ensure financial alignment with broader business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ( CPA or MBA strongly preferred ).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or product-focused environment.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills; experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and leverage automation for efficiency gains.
• Spanish proficiency preferred.
