Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Finance Manager will support the finance team and accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations, financial systems, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in accounting operations, with the ability to assist in process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Manage and oversee all tax-related matters, including sales tax, tangible tax, property tax, and business tax compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, reconciliations, and reporting
• Maintain and optimize financial systems, with a focus on NetSuite
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Work closely with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in accounting operations
• Support the Controller in managing internal controls and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Assist in special projects as needed

Education & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on tax compliance and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of sales tax, tangible tax, property tax, and business tax regulations
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
