Litigation Attorney

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid, with travel to office required)

Salary: $100,000 - $185,000 (commensurate with experience)

Overview:

A prominent and well-established legal firm based in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney with significant experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will have a background in handling a diverse range of cases, including automotive, general liability, construction, slip and falls, personal injury, and premises liability claims.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team with a track record of success in insurance defense. Candidates will work in a hybrid environment, with some travel to the office required. PA Bar membership is a must, and NJ Bar membership is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and represent clients in all aspects of insurance defense litigation.
  • Handle cases across various areas of law, including automotive, general liability, construction, slip and fall, personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Advise clients on case strategies and provide regular updates.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient handling of cases.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance companies.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active PA Bar membership required. NJ Bar membership is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on the specific practice areas mentioned.
  • Proven track record in handling complex litigation matters, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trials.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Client-focused with excellent attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits:
