Job Description

Our Asset Management Alternatives Private (AM Alts Pvt) KYC Group is seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in partnering with clients and internal stakeholders—including Business, Financial Crime & Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Quality Assurance—to ensure a smooth and compliant client onboarding experience.

The KYC Group supports all deal teams within the Alternatives Private division, collaborating with senior leaders across the organization to uphold high standards of risk management and regulatory compliance. As subject matter experts in Know Your Client (KYC) requirements, we are responsible for obtaining and reviewing client documentation while ensuring the utmost sensitivity and professionalism throughout the onboarding process.

About Our Division:

AM Alts Pvt Operations supports the firm’s long-term principal investing division, which raises capital and invests across private equity, growth equity, real estate, and credit strategies. Our operations team develops and maintains robust controls, processes, and systems to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity across our business lines and global markets.

The KYC Group, embedded within this operations team, manages the control framework surrounding firm-wide policies related to client onboarding. We work closely with Legal, Financial Crime & Compliance, and Policy teams to ensure our processes meet evolving regulatory standards while maintaining an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) checks in alignment with the firm’s AML policies and global regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/KYC, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID, FATCA).
  • Perform Politically Exposed Person (PEP), sanctions, and adverse media screenings; escalate issues to Legal and Compliance as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—Business, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Middle Office—to streamline onboarding and support the establishment of new client relationships.
  • Communicate directly and effectively with external clients to clarify documentation requirements and minimize onboarding delays.
  • Support policy and procedure enhancements in response to regulatory updates and operational improvements.
  • Deliver high-quality client service through accurate and timely execution of onboarding tasks, tailored to the unique requirements of each transaction.
  • Escalate concerns or roadblocks promptly to ensure regulatory obligations are met without disruption.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Perform all regulatory checks required for opening new client accounts.
  • Participate in special onboarding projects and broader strategic initiatives as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a strong focus on risk and control
  • Demonstrated understanding of KYC/AML frameworks and relevant global regulations
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service

Pay rate $23 per hr on W2
