Job Description

Our Food/Beverage manufacturing client is currently seeking a Third Shift Production Supervisor in the greater Chicago area.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead production teams, providing task assignments, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Plan and execute production schedules, optimizing workflows for efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards through inspections and corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe work environment via training, safety guidelines, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Communicate production updates, performance metrics, and coordinate cross-department collaboration.
• Ensure team training is current and documented, acting as a liaison between staff and management.
• Facilitate meetings, address concerns, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Track KPIs for efficiency, quality, and safety, implementing improvements as needed.
• Monitor labor efficiency and resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain records, coordinate activities across departments, and support equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and project management.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in manufacturing operations, preferably food production.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and address production issues.
• Effective communication, active listening, and feedback delivery.
• Technical proficiency and adaptability to new equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage complexity, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with industry standards, quality control practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Dynamics AX/D365 and Alchemy is a plus.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, or industrial engineering (or relevant experience).
• 5-7 years of manufacturing supervision with hands-on production floor experience (food manufacturing preferred).
