DESCRIPTION :

The Goulston & Storrs Strategic Growth Team is seeking a Strategic Growth Coordinator. This person will primarily support the practice group management function, they will also be a generalist, working across the entire team, including marketing & communications and client success & business growth.

Candidates must be self-motivated, committed to excellence in the workplace, and attentive to detail. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to quickly think on their feet, be creative, be proactive, and demonstrate the ability to think out of the box. This position requires a high energy level, ability to work overtime when volume demands it, and occasional business travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Collaborate with practice group leadership and management to execute strategic plans, drive key priorities, and lead data-driven projects highlighting group strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Plan, attend, and run/present group meetings; track activities and action items; follow up to ensure progress and forward momentum.
  • Play a key role in the documentation of firmwide experience, including sourcing matters, entering work details, and identifying the information for the appropriate next steps, including internal information sharing, press releases, congratulatory announcements, award submissions, etc.
  • Plan and execute special events from conception to follow-up, including industry organization programs, practice group educational seminars, key client receptions, social opportunities, hospitality functions, and more; serve as main point of contact for internal and external partners.
  • Organize and maintain practice and department resources within document management system and firm intranet pages.
  • Coordinate firmwide partnerships with industry organizations; set up and organize group and individual memberships; plan and execute elements outlined in partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Growth colleagues with priority activities as needed, including:
  • Support the firm’s sponsorship program, including subsequent advertising opportunities;
  • Assist the group’s management of tickets and other entertainment activities stemming from attorney/client requests;
  • Prepare nominations for awards, directories, and recognition opportunities;
  • Coordinate team meetings, including curriculum;
  • Manage the team calendar system, ensuring consistency and communication.
  • Support the group’s marketing technology systems and projects, including an upcoming data lake rollout and a new website (launching in October 2025).
  • Identify and pursue synergies between BD Team functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of independence and coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines, budget constraints, and business objectives
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including strong proofreading and business writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an acute sense of detail-orientation and an ability to collaborate
  • Ability to “tell a story” with data metrics through visualizations and reporting
  • Demonstrated industry and service area knowledge
  • Interest in technology trends and innovation in the context of professional services firms

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree required plus 3-5 years of business support experience
  • Law firm or other professional services industry experience preferred
