Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Teleoperation Technician to support the daily operations, testing, and data collection activities of advanced robotic systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with robotic hardware and software, both locally and remotely, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality data collection through virtual reality interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Setup & Maintenance: Oversee the daily setup, operation, and basic maintenance of robotic systems and associated hardware. Perform routine maintenance and environmental checks to ensure equipment readiness, both on-site and remotely.
• Virtual Reality Manipulation & Data Collection: Execute a variety of manipulation tasks in a virtual reality environment to collect clean, high-quality datasets. Use a VR headset to navigate and control robots, capturing operational data that meets established client standards.
• Data Management: Accurately label, store, and manage datasets within client-designated repositories. Ensure all data is collected and submitted in accordance with client-defined criteria and quality expectations.
• Configuration Validation: Perform daily validation checks on hardware and software configurations, documenting and tracking any deviations between data collection sessions.
• Troubleshooting & Reporting: Identify, troubleshoot, and report issues related to robotic hardware or software performance. Clearly document anomalies and deviations from expected operation standards.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Read, interpret, and contribute to technical documentation. Assist in refining operational procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in robot operation and data handling.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with robotics, virtual reality, or related technical systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and reporting skills.
• Comfortable working in both physical and virtual environments.
