Location: Houston, TX (In-Office Only)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Completions Engineer to join our Houston-based technical team. The ideal candidate will have strong field and office experience in stimulation design, analysis, and optimization—along with a passion for leveraging diagnostics and data analytics to solve real-world engineering challenges. This position is full-time and in-office, involving both internal collaboration and direct client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize hydraulic fracturing programs for unconventional wells.
  • Analyze field data including pressure, rate, and downhole diagnostics (DAS, DTS, DSS, perf imaging).
  • Utilize Spotfire and other analytics tools for engineering workflows and visualization.
  • Conduct fracture modeling simulations using software such as StimPlan™.
  • Integrate geological, geophysical, and production data for completions planning.
  • Support R&D initiatives including tool development and industry consortium projects.
  • Present technical findings to clients at industry conferences (e.g., SPE).
  • Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and engineering documentation with clients and internal teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–3 years of field experience as a frac engineer (E&P or service company).
  • 3–5 years of completions engineering experience with an E&P company.
  • Proficient in Spotfire Analytics and advanced data interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (SPE presentation experience preferred).
  • Native English speaker.
  • Must reside in Houston and work onsite daily.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with frac modeling software (StimPlan™, FracPro, GOHFER, ResFrac, etc.).
  • Familiarity with diagnostics (DarkVision, EV Cam, Fiber Optic DAS/DTS).
  • Advanced analytics and basic programming skills (MATLAB, Python, etc.).
  • CAD software experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk).
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering or related discipline.
