Job Description

Position Summary :

Right Way Signs, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wide Format Printing, Vinyl, and Digital Graphics Manager to join our team. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the production process for all wide-format printing, vinyl graphics, and digital signage projects, ensuring high-quality output, efficient workflow, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Roland and Canon Colorado wide-format printers, be proficient with various sign production software, and have expertise in vinyl weeding, lamination, and application to various substrates. This position demands attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Production Management : Oversee all aspects of the wide-format printing and vinyl graphics production process, including printing, weeding, lamination, and vinyl application to substrates.
  • Printer Operation : Operate and maintain Roland and Canon Colorado wide-format printers to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Software Proficiency : Utilize various sign production software (such as VersaWorks, Onyx, FlexiSign, etc.) to create, manage, and edit graphic files for production.
  • Vinyl and Substrate Application : Weeding vinyl and applying it accurately to a variety of substrates, ensuring precise and clean results.
  • Lamination : Laminate printed graphics to protect and enhance the final product, ensuring longevity and durability.
  • Quality Control : Ensure that all projects meet our high-quality standards, performing thorough quality checks before products leave the warehouse for installation or delivery.
  • Client Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project status updates, file requests, and any issues related to project execution. This includes assisting clients with file format specifications, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to their files, software problems, printer and machine issues, and any other challenges that may arise during production.
  • Proofing and Approvals : Prepare proofs of projects for client approvals, ensuring that the final product matches the client's vision and specifications.
  • Client Samples : Prepare printed and vinyl samples for client approval prior to production or shipment, ensuring the samples accurately represent the final product.
  • Project Coordination : Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting : Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printers and other equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
  • Team Supervision : Train and guide junior production staff, providing leadership to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Client Satisfaction : Work closely with clients to resolve any issues or concerns, ensuring their satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure that all printed and vinyl materials meet the company’s high standards of quality, while ensuring that the final output is as requested by the client.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in wide-format printing, vinyl graphics production, or digital signage. Experience with Roland and Canon Colorado printers is highly preferred.
  • Skills :
  • Proficient with design and production software (e.g., VersaWorks, Onyx, FlexiSign, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW).
  • Strong knowledge of vinyl weeding, lamination, and application techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of substrates (such as rigid boards, banners, window decals, etc.).
  • Ability to handle large projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and resolve any technical issues.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Leadership : Experience managing and mentoring a team in a production environment.
  • Client-Facing Skills : Comfort and professionalism in direct client communication and problem resolution.
  • Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including design, installation, and customer service.
