The Short-Term Temporary will provide essential administrative, logistical, and time management support to the Thought Leadership Principal and the Innovations Principal of the Gender and Economic Inclusion Department. Duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Administrative Support

  • Calendar management: Monitor and manage the manager’s calendar, schedule appointments for both internal and external clients, and provide background material for meetings.
  • Coordinate across time zones with internal and external colleagues.

Logistical Support

  • Travel Arrangements: Coordinate and manage travel arrangements, including obtaining visas and necessary clearances. Provide briefings folder (e.g., consolidate material for travel, print briefs, etc.) and submit Statement of Expenses after travel.
  • HR Admin Processes: Support HR admin processes, assisting with recruitment (shortlisting and scheduling interviews).

Time Management Support

  • Team Meetings: Coordinate bi-weekly team meetings and support agenda.
  • Event Logistics: Support logistics for meetings/events (catering, venue, transportation, etc.), and team retreats/workshops, get together’s for the team (lunches, happy hours, etc.)
  • Birthday Calendar: Oversee the birthday calendar, ensuring leads send team messages with reminders at least one week in advance.
  • Draft correspondence for the Thought Leadership Principal (e.g., monthly informal emails to the team).
  • Additional Support: Provide any additional support as needed.

GEID HQ Team Support :

  • Act as the focal point for administrative matters, assisting in addressing requests for team members. Advise team members on diverse issues and problems as they arise and direct them to the correct counterparts.
  • Act as liaison to regional team members, coordinating with country ACS staff.
  • Liaise closely with the Director’s front office, supporting coordination of meetings that involve Managers and/or Principals.
  • Support travel requests for consultants who don’t have system access and help them submit Statement of Expenses after travel.
  • Support consultant requests in Admin Portal by preparing and collecting related documents and liaising with Team Leader, procurement, and budget staff to ensure that all transactions are handled on time.
  • Send e-cards for eventful events, flowers, etc. with manager’s approval.

Selection Criteria and Competencies: Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma with 10 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of IFC's procedures and processes; or strong previous relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; high proficiency in presentation, design, and revision.
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a small, cohesive team, and across boundaries.
  • Very high degree of flexibility and a demonstrated capacity to handle a variety of multiple concurrent activities, to judge priorities and to take initiative, while keeping a clear head in an action-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and solid office support and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and balance competing demands under pressure, while keeping attention to detail.
  • High degree of judgment, discretion, and diplomacy in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and effectively with contacts at all levels, both inside and outside the Corporation.
  • Proactive, detail oriented, well-organized, focused, and works with minimal supervision.
  • Accepts new challenges and responsibilities to develop self, understand the big picture and benefit the corporation.

The daily rate will be determined based on the qualifications and prior experience of the consultant. Compensation is made on a net basis at the T4 level. This is a local, short-term consulting position.

The assignment is expected to begin in August 2025 with an estimated 130 days of work and a contract ending date of June 30, 2026. The consultant needs to be based in Washington, D.C. Based on the consultant’s performance, business needs and funding availability, the assignment could be extended.
